The 80’s was a great time, not so much for clothing or style, but for movies. While growing up all of us watched holiday movies as children, and now we are older with children of our own, we would like to share our movie memories with them. Watching these movies will remind us of our childhood Christmases.

The 2011 Christmas Movies List
When thinking of holidays what is the first thing you think of? Shopping, Food, Classic Movies, Family; well something that some of us may think of is: New Holiday Movie Releases! You may believe new release movies don’t truly represent the Christmas spirit, however going to the movie theater is a great adventure for your family as it allows time to bond outside of your normal surroundings. Especially holiday release movies are great for families, as the story lines usually reflect families. Every Christmas there are a large amount of movies that are releases that sometimes turn into classic Christmas movies (or could completely bomb).
This year we are expecting a few great looking movies; this Christmas movies list includes the newest releases for 2011.
1. The Muppets
The Muppets reunite after a huge fight to save the Muppets Studio in Hollywood. To save the studio from and evil Texas oil tycoon they must create a show that will get 10 million viewers.
2. Arthur Christmas
A kids movie highlighting the technological advances of the North Pole, and revealing the most keep secrete in the world; how Santa distributes gifts all over the world in just one night.
3. Happy Feet Two
An animated sequel takes audiences to Antarctica to reunite us with the world famous tap-dancing penguin, Mumble, and his love of this life, Gloria. Now they have a little penguin of there own who is trying to find his own talent.
4. Hugo
An orphan boy lives in the walls of a Paris train station and looks after the clocks. While repairing a mechanical man he stumbles upon a mystery adventure.
5. Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
While on a luxury cruise ship; Alvin, Simon and Theodore, along with the Chipettes use the ship as their own playground until they suddenly become shipwrecked on a desert island.
Of course there are more upcoming movies for this holiday season, they are just a few. It’s hard to pick which ones our family will go see, but I am sure we will all enjoy it, as will yours.
